Description: | The nose and lower jaw broken away and it is otherwise much battered. The sima is broken close all around. Vigorously modeled in style of late fourth century B.C. The inner core is made of pale yellow clay containing much grit; the outside of very fine hard buff clay. Thin brown glaze for the locks, the lids and pupils of the eyes; white for iris of eyes. | |
