Similar to 648 are Salonica from Olynthos: Olynthus, V, pl. 150, 524 and Cyprus from Marion: S.C.E., II, pl. 50 and pl. 142, 1 (Marion Tomb 36-8). Cairo, Borchardt coll.: Berytus, XII, 1956-57, pl. 7, 3 (F 585) though not certainly Attic, also provides an intermediate stage between the cup-skyphos and the cup-kantharos. The excavations in the Sanctuary of the Nymph, south of the Acropolis, have produced similar early 4th century transitional pieces: Athens, Acropolis Museum 1956 NAK 69, 71, 72, and 75. Their absence from the Agora seems to be fortuitous.
