Part of foot and floor.

Slightly angular ring foot; outwardly beveled resting surface; convex underside. Two deep scraped grooves around center of floor. Center: eight-petaled rosette with alternate petals white. Outside this, alternating panels of incised checkerboard and lattice, probably originally eight of each. Alternate squares of checkerboard filled in with white. Shiny black glaze; miltos.

The use of incision for these patterns is unusual at Athens: see 353, 442--444, 1153, 1213, 1350.
