Title:   Deep Bowl Fragment: Patterned
Category:   Pottery
Description:   Rim of skyphos. Brown on buff.
ADDENDA 2018: Single sherd to a medium deep bowl with flaring rim. No other features are preserved.
The exterior decoration likely included a narrow lip band (now completely worn away) and a medium band (or two?) below the handles. The handle zone was panelled with a central triglyph with joining semicircle fill flanked by antithetic spirals.
The interior has a double band at the rim. The paint is uniformly applied and evenly fired brown. There are traces of vertical use-wear marks on the widest part of the body, as well as some abrasion marks on the rim indicating its use for scooping. There are no burn marks.
