Title:   Deep Bowl Fragment: Patterned

Description:   From a skyphos.
Reddish brown on buff.
ADDENDA 2018: Eight sherds mended into two sections of a small medium deep bowl with slightly flaring rim. No other features are preserved.
The exterior decoration consists of a wide rim band (0.025 m), two medium bands running below the handle zone, and at least one band at the junction of the bowl and ring base. In the handle zone there is a panelled zone with central triglyph filled with hatched lozenges and joining semi-circle fringe.
On either side of the central triglyph are parallel chevrons. The interior is monochrome.
The paint is thick and fairly evenly applied, fired dark brown throughout. There are no traces of use-wear or burning.
