Title:   Straight-sided Alabastron Fragment: Monochrome

Description:   Fragment from squat jar with flaring rim, two or three handles on shoulder. Dull red paint flaking off.
ADDENDA 2018: Two joining sherds to a small straight-sided alabastron with flaring rim and pertical pierced lug handle and convex base.
The exterior decoration is monochrome. The interior of the lip is painted deep into the vessel.
The paint is thick and evenly applied, but badly flaked in places and unevenly fired red to dark brown. There are no obvious signs of use-wear or burning.
