Title:   Grave Relief Fragment

Description:   Upper part of inscribed grave relief.
Mended from two fragments found on different dates.
The smaller left piece was found first; the two fragments do not meet along front edge; may have been cut apart.
The damaged top of the stele was roughly pedimental with side finials and rounded center; upper surface picked. The sides are finished with a toothed chisel, the back rough picked.
Along the lower edge is preserved the top of a relief: bearded man faces left towards a horse and rider (?) in broad-brimmed hat; above these heads a projecting band, inscribed.
Pentelic marble.
