Description:   Sepulchral stele.
Broken away below.
A tall tapering stele crowned by an ovolo moulding and fascia with a finial in the shape of a flame palmette springing from acanthus leaves. Between the two halves of the palmette is a small rosette; between the tendrils on either side of the palmette, a phiale mesompahalos. On the face of the stele near its top are two double rosettes in relief.
Across the top of the face is the inscription, in three lines.
Pentelic marble.
Conservation Status:   Finished
Context:   Found earlier in the year in the wall of a modern cesspool in the excavation for a printing press at the corner of Sarri and Riga Palamedou Streets, south of the Agora.
