Description:   Left corner, and top of pediment of stele broken away; otherwise complete save for minor fractures on surface and edges.
The front of the stele is rough at the bottom for 0.39m. and uninscribed for 0.39m. Sides dressed with toothed chisel; back rough.
Archonship of Ourias.
Thirty-two lines of the inscription preserved; stoichedon.
Hymettian marble.
ADDENDA Every letter is preserved or can be inserted. We learn the secretary this year, hitherto unknown, and hence we learn the date. The texts informs us that the Athenian were at peace with Boetia, which was Macedonian: hence they were ar peace with Macedon. This gives us a salient new fact in the history of the time. The year falls in that period foe which Dinspoor has established the once disturbed chronology (295-261 B.C.).
Context:   Found built into the wall of the late pit, east of the Tholos, about 3.00m. from the top. Its surface was protected by a large squared block which rested upon it.
