Description: | Fragment from mouth and shoulder of a wide-mouthed pot, with a low vertical neck ending in a plain lip, and a round body. Fragment preserves one handle, a lug in shape of inverted U with two vertical piercings. Red slip on neck and outside, not on inside. ADDENDA Two joining fragmens added Oct. 1938 from Well U, preserving lower ends of handle, shoulder and part of lower body, showing that shape is characteristic biconical jar and that the ware is striped burnished. | |
