Description: | Two large pieces of rim and fragment of knob missing. Plain shallow conical lid with downturned edge, and a neat knob on which the lid can stand. Two grooves around outer edge, one partly scraped; and two fine scraped grooves below knob; a reserved band and a scraped groove on the top of the knob. Decorated in white and added clay with cornucopia and grapes alternating between rays. Glaze firm, rather thin, over all. ADDENDA Possibly refugee from a saucer grave. Cf. P 7592. | |
