Description: | Handle missing (restored) and small chips from lip; otherwise intact. Spreading foot, slender egg-shaped body; tall neck set off from trefoil lip by a light ridge. Band of tongues, alternating black and purple, below neck; double band of purple on body just below shoulder, and single one just above foot. Two rivet holes at lower handle attachment, show an ancient break. Rather dull black glaze except under foot. | |
