Title:   Black Figure Amphora

Description:   Base missing (restored in plaster) and a large piece of the side. Eggy body; neck and shoulder form continuous concave curve; offset flaring lip. Rising rolled handles, lower neck to shoulder. Above foot, rays, topped by a broad red band; then a red band at lower line of figured panels. Lip reserved on top, with red band at inner and outer edges. In panel, either side, a winged horse, prancing right; behind him, a cloaked standing man. Above, five ivy leaves; below the horse, four dots. Red for front part of horse's wing; for a band on his haunch; for the man's hair, and for stripes on his garment. Trace of white on horse's mane. Rather careless incision.
