Description: | Mended from two pieces. Nearly half circumference preserved. Upper break leaves just the tips of the shoulder rays. Scene depicts lyre player (Apollo?) and female attendants. Apollo(?), in the center of the group, is rather hastily represented with a receding chin and a great deal of hair; some sort of white streamers hang over his shoulders and his lyre is over-painted white; the strings are four incised lines. Beyond, to the right, part of a woman facing left; from drapery a hand rises crossing the lyre and part of a head is seen near the border. The women's eyes are round red dots. A bit of vine next to each one. | |
