Title:   Beaker: Thorn Ware and Brittle Ware

Description:   The bottom preserved and much of the wall, with one non-joining rim fragment. Deep steep-walled cup on flat bottom. The lower edge of the wall plain, with light grooves and ridges; above, to the shoulder, entirely covered with small raised darts. Plain slightly convex rim, with small out-turned lip; the rim separated from the wall by a wreath(?) pattern, also in relief.
Thin fabric of fine hard light red clay, unglazed; Outside somewhat blackened.
Possibly in part mould-made?
Context:   Area south of church of St. Athanasius, trench cut in rock at S-E corner.
