Light reddish-brown clay, covered outside with a heavy chalk-white slip, somewhat worn. Probably the lid for a late Panathenaic amphora, such as P 8522. ADDENDA Very like the lid of the 2nd. c. Panathenaic in Berlin (Beazley. Der. pl. 49, no. 4). | |
