Description: | Small piece from the wall of a large closed pot of rather thin fabric; column krater? Preserved is part of a cushion(?) with the head of a lion or panther-skin hanging down over it. The cushion has toothed black stripes, down the center of each of which runs a purple stripe. Very careful work; free use of dilute glaze. ADDENDA (Sept. 2020), according to Agora XXX, closed: shape uncertain. | |
