Description: | Mended from many pieces. A bit of the rim preserved; the medallion complete, save for chips; about half the foot preserved. Reserved circle around the medallion which depicts satyr with spear and pelta running left. Dilute glaze for part of the interior drawing. Red for the wreath around the satyr's bald head, for his spear and for a nonsense inscription in the field. <graphic> Reserved: the handle space, a line around a shallow step on the top of the foot, the outer edge of the foot and the resting surface. Red wash on the reserved surfaces. Relief contours. | |
