Description: | Three joining pieces from wall of krater, curving out at top toward rim. Interior has horizontally streaked brown to black glaze. Exterior has, from left: front half of standing (female?) figure facing right with staff in extended right hand; slightly bent man (slave?) in girt chiton with beard and either very prominent forehead or, more likey, turban-like cap; his left arm is extended upward and right arm downward to hold a large rectilinear box-like object; in front of this object stand two figures, a body standing in frontal position with filleted head turned to our right and with right arm bent upward to put hand at head level with palm opened out in three quarter view; at extreme right is filleted female hair, head turned so as to look down at boy. | |
