Title:   Red Figure Pyxis Fragments

Description:   a) Mended from two pieces, broken on three sides. Woman wearing chiton stands facing left. Her weight is on her right foot, her left foot trailing behind. She wears a sakkos. She is in the act of dressing and holds the end of the chiton in her mouth. Part of the garment falls over her left arm.
b) Single fragment broken on three sides. Upper part of a woman wearing a himation or peplos, facing right. She carries an alabastron.
c) Mended from two pieces, broken on three sides. Back of a chair, with the folds of a chiton visible right. A mirror hangs on the wall.
Pyxis has rim flattened on outside to receive lid. Rim and band below flange reserved. Miltos on rim.
Black glaze inside and out. Orange clay.
Context:   Pit.
