Description: | Two non-joining fragments perhaps cut from pot and re-formed to current shape. Clearly not a handle, the fragments resemble a rim, but of an unidentified form. Clay body and reserved surfaces evenly fired close to pink 7.5YR 7/4. Paint on one side of both fragments applied in irregular fashion, much streaked. Paint mottled reddish brown to black (black where thickest). AS 877 a, b. | |
