Title:   Spouted Basin

Description:   Fragmentary; mended from many pieces; one, not joining, is from the flat bottom. Restored in plaster. The spout springs upward from the side of the wall, and has a flat-lipped, almost horizontal mouth. Below this mouth, a moulded ring. On the basin itself, the upper edge is rolled over to form a sort of lip, wide at the spout, diminishing toward the sides. The stubs of one horizontal handle are preserved. Coarse pinkish gray clay, with a grayish buff slip on the outside. Thin dull black glaze inside, and on the outside on the rim, the spout, the shoulder, and around the base of the spout.
Context:   Red Hellenistic fill over east building.
