Description: | Two joining fragments, preserving small portion of lower wall of wheelmade skyphos. Body rising steeply; wheelmarks prominent on interior. Paint thickly applied and well adhering, fired black, in places with a slight sheen where best preserved. Thick band on lower wall, framed by one thin band above and one below. Three surviving tails of curvilinear ornament springing from uppermost of bands, conceivably, but not certainly mechanically-drawn concentric semicircles. Interior painted solid. Fabric fine, close to very pale brown 10YR 7/3-7/4. | |
