Description: | A fragment from one side; restored in plaster. From the medallion springs a succession of lanceolate petals, tendrils and tall spikes. The petals are probably a stylized version of the nymphaea lotus, and the spikes may well be the fruit stems of the date palm. In the upper zone a band of simplified guilloche between beaded lines surmounted by a row of double spirals. Good black glaze inside and out. Cf. Agora XXII, nos. 59, 120. Cf.
