Title:   Brazier Fragments
Category:   Pottery
Description:   Two fragments mended from many pieces. Entirely restored in plaster. Straight sides; one horizontal handle preserved. The wall of brazier thickens toward the top, so as to form a ledge ca. 0.022m. wide around the top; from this ledge two (probably originally four) small flat horizontal lugs project inwards, for resting the pot. Between the two lugs, a vertical projection. The wall of the brazier is pierced with several holes, 0.019m. diam.; these extend from close to the bottom, to close to the top of the brazier; perhaps to furnish draft for fire?
Coarse red clay grayed from use.
