Description: | About one-third of the upper wall missing. One handle complete; a fragment giving the attachment of the other does not join (and not included in restoration). Shallow lower body; high slightly concave upper wall; a scraped groove at the junction. Ivy leaf thumb-rest on handle. Rather high foot, neatly moulded in two degrees, with a deep groove, scraped, around the lower edge, and another underneath. Around the upper body, ivy pattern in added clay. Fine glaze somewhat metallic, mottled with red. | |
