Description:   Complete save for head and projection on right shoulder.
Standing draped woman, her right arm rests on a short square column, her left on her hip; a cloak hangs over left arm and shoulder, and over right thigh. Stump (of wing, or of drapery?) on right shoulder, none on left. Back and bottom rough.
Considerably remains of color: two bands, one red, one black, at top and bottom of column; red on base of column and on shoes. Lilac for the himation, with bands of blueish-green over. Olive-green for the chiton.
Pentelic marble.
On new marble base August 1961.
ADDENDA Perhaps Eros on right shoulder, Cf. Corinth no. 53.
ΠΕΡΙΓΡΑΦΗ:   Μαρμάρινο αγαλμάτιο, από πεντελικό μάρμαρο, ακέφαλης Αφροδίτης. Στηρίζεται με το δεξί της χέρι, πάνω σε ένα μικρό τετράγωνο κίονα.
Notes:   Negative 80-7-30 destroyed.
Context:   Well, Hellenistic context. (See Agora XXIX, pp. 438-439; use fill is mid-late 1st c. B.C.)
