Description: | Part of the right edge and the rough-picked back surface remain; other edges broken. The stool tapers toward the top, where there is a curving, volute-like projection. This part of the object in very low relief, and superimposed is the leg of the stool, tapering toward the bottom (broken), and surrounded by three narrow rings half way up. A small part of the back of a person, seated upon the stool, remains. Coarse work, surface damaged. Grayish white marble. ADDENDA Also interpreted as a loutrophoros. | |
