Description:   Both fragments broken all around.
On a), in low relief, the right side of a female head wearing modius. Three letters of inscription preserved above and to left.
On b) the head and shoulders of a similar figure in profile to left. She wears a thin sleeved chiton with a heavier chiton over it. Her hair, worn in a roll around the face, is drawn into a heavy knot at the nape, with curls falling to the shoulders. The modius is low, plain and slightly flaring.
Pentelic marble.
Probably to be associated with S 1569 (Τ 1116).
Conservation Status:   Finished
Context:   From modern houses beside Church of Holy Apostles; fragment b) from wall of house 638/7.
