Title:   Pyramid with Figures in Relief

Description:   Broken at various points around bottom. Figures battered and the whole much worn by water.
Elongated three-sided pyramid with each side carrying a sculpted figure in relief, standing in a niche.
a) Standing male figure within peaked niche, wearing heavy chiton with a long cloak over shoulders and draped over left forearm. Chiton ends above knees, figure wears boots that come up to mid calf. Face chipped away, perhaps deliberately. Side of niche in form of crude column, top of niche decorated with finials.
b) Standing female figure within peaked niche, clad in drapery, which reaches to foot. Very worn. Left arm held up, holding torch-like object by shoulder, right arm down holding round attribute. Head chipped away deliberately. Arched niche with finials.
c) Figure in arched niche. Very battered, fully draped figure as preserved, to below waist. Fold of drapery over left arm. Face chipped away. Crude Corinthian column holds up arched top of niche. Niche larger and more elaborate than that of figures a) and b).
Shallow four petaled rosettes on top of pyramid. Hole full of lead just to the left of niche of figure b). Similar hole, no metal, to the left of niche of figure a).
Pentelic marble.
