Title: | Relief Fragment with Draped Figures in Procession | |
Category: | Sculpture | |
Description: | Back, right side, and bottom preserved, elsewhere broken. The four figures, heads all missing, face half left. The first wears an himation; his right leg is bent, his right, bare arm is raised, with the hand open. The upper body chipped away. The second, also wearing an himation, has the left leg bent; his head was doweled on; above the right shoulder is something which might be part of a veil. Behind him, and in the background, the third figure, apparently female, is draped to the ground, with a fold of the cloak thrown over her left arm; she seems to have been veiled, though the head is missing. Upper body chipped. The last figure, also female, is also draped to the feet. Her right arm is half raised across the body of the third figure; her left hold the cloak at the side, with a fold thrown across the lower arm; she seems to have been veiled, though the head is missing, and the upper body chipped.
