Title:   Sarcophagus Fragments

Description:   a) The larger fragment, mended from three pieces, preserves the back, the upper edge, cut back at the front, and the panel below to within ca. 0.065m. of the bottom. Broken at the sides.
b) The smaller piece, also broken at the sides, preserves the bottom, with part of a projection 0.10m. high at the lower edge, its top surface rough-picked.
c) Another large fragment.
Decoration in low relief: in the center a cross from which spring vines, enclosed within a circle interlaced with a rectangle (?) enclosing vines. Bordered above and below by bead and reel and pointed guilloche.
Byzantine.
Built into narthex of the Church the Holy Apostles.
