Title:   Stamped Amphora Handle: Thasian

Description:   Arched, rather thick handle.
Micaceous fairly fine clay, pinkish-buff, yellowish at surface; smutted.
Impression on down curve; partly incomplete, and outer end broken away.
Cf. Pridik (1917), p. 37, no. 27 has a Thasian seal with this device, illustrated fig. 22 on pl. VIII, with the lower name "ΑΛΚΕΙΔ[ΗΣ". Probably not from same die, but close.
Cited probably wrongly with type of "ΚΛΕΟΦΩΝ".
