Title:   Impression of Warrior
Category:   Misc. Clay Objects
Description:   Slightly chipped.
On its face a (negative) impression of a warrior to right, from the waist up, shield and spear in left hand, right hand raised. He wears attic helmet with plume, short-sleeved tunic with kolpos, cuirass, chlamys, and short-belt.
The surface of the original was slightly convex. Note a trace of a vertical border (?) in front of the warrior.
The precision suggests a metal original, a cheek-piece from a helmet (?)
Context:   Foundry pit. North-south cut on 50 m. line, area of Stoa, layer VII, with waste of iron-working and pottery of mid 4th c. B.C.
