APC Image: AK 0998Black-figured plate and plaque sherds. Left: Fragment of plate (Acropolis I 2410 a-b). Herakles and Kyknos(?). Warriors and other figures striding to the left. Beazley: "Very near Lydos". Ca. 560-550 B.C. Right: Two fragments of plaque (Acropolis I 2560 a-d). The vintage. Rough and unglazed on the back. By the Ryecroft painter. On the bottom fragment: the face of the youth with its tilted nose and amusing chin, the lower part of the youth's basket and most of his left arm, and the ear and the back of the head of another man facing left with a scaphe on his left shoulder. Ca. 510 B.C.
