Notebook:   1102
Context:   18

Date:   2008/11/11
Stratum:   70% especially small to large pebbles, small to medium cobbles
Description:   Top slope of the context is slight down to the N. The soil color is light brownish black. The soil compaction is hard. The soil is poorly sorted. It is coarse sand.
Notes:   18 is a fill west of wall 6, and covering the edges of some of the stones on the west side of wall 6. Excavation reveals a small area of hard-packed earth, without any visible pottery or inclusions. Thus it seems to be a floor (20). Toward the north 18 reveals a small section of what appears to be a crosswall (23) for wall 6 to its west. 18 also reveals what appears to be the cut for the foundations of wall 6, just south of the floor surface. For new wall, see structure 23.
