Notes: | Cut down both sections to Level VIII 130-145. The quantity of pottery did not diminish materially. As to quality there were many fine pieces of LM I and II but not so many as in level VI. Minyan begins to appear. One piece of ivory was brot up. [NB 84, p. 60, written by CWB] In East Alley the deposit still continues. VIII 1.30-1.45 Painted sherds still continue. Seem to be largely LM I. Sherds here are not so numerous as in VI and VII. Large no. of unpainted brown [bowls crossed out] goblets (kylikes). [NB 85 p. 46, CWB, almost certainly from all sections of level VIII:] E.A. VIII 1.30-1.45 (= LM I – II ?)
