Stratum:   Deposit east of Wall 190.Dark brown clay with 10% medium pebbles and 2% fine inclusions of yellow ochre
Notes:   B90 is a dark brown clay with 10% medium pebbles and 2-5% fine inclusions of yellow ochre. The ochre particles are uniform in size and are evenly distributed through the layer; they appear to be natural. B90 may be the same as the layer uncovered underneath B81, which has a similar composition. B90 is bounded by the Archaic cutting on the north. On the west, the soil is a similar color but without the ochre found in B90. This soil was included in B87. An area of large cobbles emerged at the bottom of the southern end of B90. On the SE, B90 lies under and within B89. On the NE side, the boundary is indistinct. Under the edge of B89 the soil becomesredder and closer to the color of B84, but still includes ochre particles. The soils appear to mix along this NE line of B89 and B90. Jen thinks that the level continues under this area to the east, so we are closing the basket to take out the red layer under B84 (B92).
