Name:   NB976 B16 P41
Area:   Panaghia north
Category:   Basket/zembil

Context:   16

Date:   2006/04/28
Stratum:   fill N of wall 215; reddish-brown, loose soil with 30% inclusions
Notes:   Building material is present (i.e. plaster and tile). After 1 pass across the entire area, we took another pass. Looking at the S scarp, it seemed that there was still ca. 10 cm of fill. In the SE corner (the area excavated as Basket 15), the soil has become lighter and redder. Fewer inclusions may be due to the well, which has been more clearly exposed. The SE portion of the well-head has been exposed during this pass and we can clearly make out a corner block in the SE corner of the opening, which has gotten bigger. The blocks seem to extend under the light-red soil in the E part of the trench. Found glass, 1 coin, bone, iron, a lamp fragment, marble.
