Stratum:   Fill abutting north of wall 215; reddish-brown, loose and silty soil with 20% inclusions, including tile, coarse pebbles, and a few cobbles
Notes:   B43 is the removal of fill that is distinctly different from B39, B41, and B42. The top layer of this basket had darker reddish-brown, loose and silty soil with 40-50% inclusions, including tile, cobbles, and plaster chunks. Further down, inclusions become fewer and less plaster was found; the soil was also more red. We may have 2 different depositional phases represented in this basket with the top portion being similar to B39. However, there was no sudden break in soil type however. This stratum cuts into a finer brown soil to the north that has yet to be dug. Basket 43 slopes from W to E and abuts W215.
