Stratum: | destruction deposit S of wall 291, E of wall 294, and N of the E-W wall N of wall 215; reddish-brown, slightly compact, silty soil, poorly sorted, with 10% inclusions of coarse pebbles and a few cobbles | |
Notes: | Some tile is present (12 fragments with a weight of 3.8 kg.), as well as marl chunks, dissolved building material, and mudbrick chunks. We have found 2 coins, one through dry sieving and one at E 410.51/N 972.48 with an elevation of 91.04. We are sieving all soil with 1 out of 5 zembils being water-sieved. A terracotta figurine was found at E 411.73/N 971.43 with an elevation of 91.04. Another one terracotta, a headless female, was found at E 411.86/N 971.26 with an elevation of 91.03. near the TC figurines were found more fragments of mould-made bowl moulds (i.e. E 411.05/N 971.69 with an elevation of 91.05). Directly E of wall 294 are more inclusions, ca. 35% with tiles and cobbles. We are also coming down upon cobbles and a pebbly layer E of wall 294. | |
