Stratum:   Redeposited destruction fill W of robbing trench 290 - soft light brown sandy silt plus lumps of grey clay with 2% pebbles
Notes:   We started digging the softer clayey soil uncovered after the closing of B43. Two frgt of tile surfaced at N edge of B44 plus a rim sherd with letters was found.
A compact layer consisting of lumps of clay (roof bedding) was reached. Two hols were also detected south of the aforementioned tiles.
Further south of tiles an actual block surfaced which belongs to Wall 287, described in NB 973. A fragment of mudbrick was also detected right next to the tiles, uncovered after B43 (see plan p. 110).
