Date:   2006/05/05
Stratum:   Crust layer
Notes:   Greyey reddish brown sandy silt weakly cemented ranging from 5-10% to 10-15% pebbles with rare subrounded cobbles. Basket 31 ia a pass over much of the area E of the stone configuration (drain?) and S of the column drum. The basket consists of a shallow crust that formed the bottom boundary of several previous (B14, 15, 24, 26, 28). The crust was relatively flat and weakly cemented. It covered the area between the gutter and the stone configuration (continuation of gutter?), such that removal of the crust in that area should allow for investigation of the relationship between these features. Underneath the crust some more large stones (0.2 m) were uncovered along with what appears to be another column drum (fragment?)
