Stratum:   Pit fill of GR 2006-4. Dark/medium yellowish brown sandy silt with 10% pebbles, 5% or less cobbles, loose.
Notes:   B 63 is the return to the area of B 61 in order to remove the vessels which were in the ground. The soil appears to be part of the original pit dug for the grave. It runs directly south of wall 215 and east of B 62. It was cut into by the construction of wall 215, thus we have lost the ability here to follow the pit north (unless it continues north of wall 215). We are removing Geometric vessels from this layer. Two Geometrci vessels are exposed. Their top elevations are: open mouthed vessel: 90.17, oinochoe: 90.08, and sherds from amphora at higher elevation than rest of vessel: 90.32. We are stopping this basket to open a new one to dig the foundation trench of wall 215 which runs into it. The oinochoe seems to be tipped over with the handle lying towards the west. The open mouthed vessel is east of the oinochoe shape. Open mouthed vessel is #20 and the oinochoe is #21. We sieved 100%.
