Lot:   Lot 2006-020
Stratum:   Pit fill of GR 2006-4. Light to medium reddish brown, sandy silty clay, 35% pebbles, 20% cobbles, loose
Notes:   B 66 is the digging of the layer directly below B 62. It is south of B 60 and wall 215. It is west of B 65 and north of the slab in the trench. This basket will most likely come down on the lid of the sarcophagus assuming there are no major changes in the soil. It seems to be the center of the pit of GR 2006-4. There are rock c. 35 cm in size about 30 cm above the lid of the sarcophagus. It is questionable whether or not it is significant. We have found what might be a worked stone tool. The soil is becoming much looser and less pebbly so we are ending this basket before cointinuing down further. We sieve 100%. See pg. 121 for top plan.
