Stratum:   light brownish bown very soft 10% fine-medium pebbles poorly sorted fine sand
Notes:   This basket is for the digging of an area of which seems to be bracketed by a rough rubble line to the E and to the W, on N-S axis with the architectural block. The earth here is relatively soft with some clayey patches. The edge of another block has been revealed to the immediate NE and running under the first block. A frgmt of water pipe was found floating in the N portion of this basket as were 2 large fragments of cement flooring (approx. 0.10 x 0.10) . This area as defined by the basket may be the cutting for the water pipe which appears to run into this trench from NB978 (B53 and B54).
The soft brownish earth of B33 aooears to continue to the E below a layer of harder earth- the situation is less clear to the W though the softer earth seems to continue in this direction as well.
