Notes:   The matrix of this basket is clay, light brown, compact with 5-10% pebbles. B8 is the removal of the clay floor. In B7 the bottom most layer appeared to continue underneath the clay floor and therefore the floor is removed in order to further investigate the continuation of the bottom layer of B7. The clay floor was uncovered in B2. It abutts the S edge of the wall that appears to be a continuation of W265 and extends southward along W282, but stops short of the N wall of the villa pool, where it was cut by the pit of B5. the eastern extent of the floor coincides with the gap in the wall as described in B3. The removal of the floor revealed a layer with cobbles and a lighter grey soil with flecks of carbon, as well as the continuation of the mixed fill of B7.
