Stratum:   Foundation trench, wall 294. Loosely compacted to loose reddish brown clayey silt, ca 10% small cobbles, tiles (especially deeper).
Notes:   With this basket we are taking a slightly more compact and browner fill encountered inside B37 (wall 294 foundation trench). The foundation cut and the wall 294 foundations continue down, so it appears to be the same trench. We found a very large block on the opposite side of the foundation trench with tiles and very loose fill up against it. Apparently there is a Hellenistic (?) N-S running foundation just to the east of wall 294. This suggest the large stone and debris in the pit/foundation to the N from B36 are continuing south belwo the red debris-rich fills that extend over most of this area.
