Stratum:   Fill. Brownish brown loosely compacted silty sand with ca 10% small cobbles.
Notes:   We are expanding the trench 1m to N978, but the workmen had left a balk on E409-410 unexcavated. It had pits in it from graves from another season, so we are big-picking the area down to be sure the graves are not contaminating the "garden fills" below. After two big pik passes we have definitely removed the grave pits, so we will expand over the whole N977-978 strip in another basket now.
