Stratum:   Fill inside the east end of Cistern 2006-01. Loosely cemented ligh redidish brown silty sand 20% inclusions: tile fragments, me. Pebbles subangular, marl chunks.
Notes:   This basket explores the east end of the area inside the rectangular foundation. As we began cleaning the NE corner we found plaster on several survases of the NE corner near the "threshold" exposed by B75. This should be a mass of dbris (building debris) and earth dummped inside the "basin", framed by the four lower walls to seal it up after it was no longer in use. We removed a looser surface fill down to a hump of fill that is slightly more compact. Doubtless this is the same dumping operation but we will switch baskets for the harder fill (B79). We sieved all the B77 fill.
